Cattery and kennel
*We do not provide a doggy daycare or overnight traveller boarding service*
If you’re looking for a safe and secure boarding kennel or cattery in the Dubbo region, you don’t need to look any further than Merooka Cattery and Kennel.
Set in a relaxed rural environment only 15 minutes from Dubbo, Merooka is the longest established family owned cattery and kennel in the region. Merooka is a family-owned and operated boarding cattery and kennel where your pet’s comfort and welfare are our top priorities. With over 50 years of experience in animal care and grooming, we (Debbie and Darrell) will be happy to offer an enjoyable holiday and/or a perfect groom to your dog.
As cat and dog owners ourselves, we understand how important it is for you to know that your pets will be staying in a safe and welcoming place. This is why we keep all animals separate (unless they are from the same household). You are welcome to visit the cattery and kennel before deciding to book your dog or cat in for a holiday with us.
With our range of kennels and a secure exercise area with toys and sandpits, your dog will stay both physically and mentally active whilst they are holidaying.
Situated away from the kennel, the cattery offers large individual apartments with exercise and play areas to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable holiday for your cat.
Fancy a little trim for your dog? At Merooka, we offer professional dog grooming services such as brush outs, trims, clips, and ear cleaning.
At Merooka we strive to provide the best possible care and facilities for our clients, with our involvement in the showring giving us a vast knowledge of different breeds. We understand the temperaments, care and needs of various breeds, and have built our kennels on a rural setting of 40 hectares. The kennel buildings and exercise areas have been spread over a large rural property, enabling us to provide varying types of accommodation to suit the various breed needs. In turn, this delivers a stress free environment. The cattery is located well away from the kennel so the cats can relax without being disturbed by the barking of dogs.
